It's getting colder so we'll be inside more often designing jewelry

It's that time of year when it's chilly outside and it gets dark so early!  Looks like my time outside eating grass is coming to an end.  :<  So I'll be spending more time sleeping and helping my Mom with her jewelry.  She had things spread out all over the bed tonight - there was barely room for me!  (What was she thinking??)
I'm having fun helping her choose pictures to put on chains for necklaces.  She cuts out tiny pictures of animals and sticks them on a square and then puts that on a necklace.  I haven't designed one with myself on it yet, as that will have to be as beautiful as me.  But we did make one with the little boy and one with my partner Scully.  Here is one we made of the little boy.  Since he's a boy I thought it was okay to put it on a more plain necklace.
I'll start working on more so I have some beautiful kitty necklaces to show you soon.  Of course all kitties are beautiful, at least that's what my Mom says.

Custom Kitty Pictures

While I was staring out the window this week, I came up with a great idea for my mom.  She can make tiny little pictures to go in small pendants and attach them to necklaces.  Now she can wear a necklace with a picture of me all of the time!  (I'm sure that mine will be her favorite one.)  Aside from the ones created for her, she can make them for other people who have pets.  The only downside I've noticed so far is that she's so focused that she doesn't always notice that I'm ready for more food.
Aside from that, it's getting cooler and some days it's too chilly or rainy to go outside.  I'm a little bored.  I'm sleeping more and spending more time sitting and staring at my mom.  It's a fun game I play.    I sit on the floor and just stare at her.  It freaks her out.  She asks me what I want over and over, and  eventually she just gives me some kind of food.
Time for another nap.  Be sure to check our Etsy store 405 creations and our web site (http://www.405creations.com/) next week - we should have some of those cute picture pendants on there by then.  Sweet dreams, everyone!

Someone tell me how to get rid of this annoying new kitten!

He scares me.  He has so much energy and runs around constantly.  He chases me & swats at my butt with his paws.  And my mom is paying way too much attention to him.  I don't know why she thinks he's so cute.  I hate having attention taken away from me!  I've started spending more time playing with her beads.  At least that way I get her attention.
My Mom told me that in October she's going to do something called a promotion.  The 25th person to sign up to follow this blog will get a free pair of earrings!  You can choose any earrings in her Etsy shop.  The 50th person will get a free necklace.  For that you can choose 1 of the necklaces shown in the Necklace page of this blog.  To follow, just click the Follow button on this page.    If you have any questions about this post a comment and we'll post the answer.
Okay, so here's a picture of this annoying kitten.  Can any of you tell me why my mom thinks he's so cute?

Labor Day? What is THAT??

I've heard labor is the same thing as work.  I'm a cat, so I don't do that.  My only job is to look pretty so my mom will scratch me, pet me, and feed me.
I'm getting used to the little black kitten, although I still don't like him.  I've figured out that as long as he's sleeping I don't have to worry about him.  This is great because I feel safe enough to lay on the bed with my mom again.  I missed that.  I like to lay beside her while she watches that box with moving things in it (she calls it "TV").  Lately I've taken to sleeping on her head while she sleeps.  It's nice and warm there.
She hasn't made too many new jewelry pieces lately.  I haven't been in the mood to help her design - I've discovered a new spot to look out the window, so I spend most of my time there.  Since I turned 16 last month, I've been a little sleepier than usual.  I suppose I should take a look at some of her beads and give her some advice, though.  But that sounds like work, and like I said, I don't do that.  She did make this necklace without my help - she said something about "om".  Maybe she just said "um".  Who knows?  Time for a nap.
Ta ta!

He thinks this bed is his mother!

Hi, Buddy here.  I've helped my human Mom design a few necklaces this week, which have turned out very nicely.  The new baby cat is still here and more annoying than ever!  He chases me around and tries to get me to play with him, which I'm having none of.  Sometimes he lays down besides me and swats at my belly!  As if having a drooping belly isn't bad enough!
I've also noticed that when he lays in this pink bed he kneads on the sides with his paws and sucks on it.  It must feel like his mother and he's trying to nurse.  I do feel badly that he misses his kitty mom.  But my human Mom seems to really love him so maybe that will make up for it.

New addition to my design team

A few weeks ago my human mom brought home an annoying, tiny black kitten.  I don't know where he came from, but he's driving me crazy!  He follows me around everywhere, tries to get me to play with him, eats my food, sleeps in my spots, and takes up too much of my mom's attention.  I can't imagine why my mom did this.  I just hope that I can get him to help out with the jewelry design business.  If he's going to be here and annoy me he can at least be useful!

Meet my partner, Scully

She's my adopted younger sister and is going to help me with my fabulous beaded designs.  Since she's a few years younger, maybe she will motivate me to write posts here more often.
She came into my life back in 1997 when she was only the size of Mom's palm.  Mom said she found her in the middle of a busy intersection.  The silly thing ran into the middle of the road & just laid down!  It's lucky for her that my Mom was driving by and Mom is a big sucker for homeless critters.  I wasn't very happy when Mom first brought her home.  I didn't want to share my space and I certainly didn't want to share Mom's attention.  I hissed and growled and gave the little one the evil eye so she'd leave me alone.  She kept following me around like she wanted ME to be her mother!  Eventually she gave up, though, and left me alone until I got used to her.  She still follows me around some times like the tag-along that she is, but it doesn't bother me so much.  I guess I've grown a little fond of her over the years.  She is kind of cute, in a little kitten kind of way.  (not anything like my beauty, though.)

So we should have some pictures of our fun jewelry to show you soon!  xxoo Buddy and Scully
