How can I create designs for jewelry?

You may notice that I haven't written in here for almost a year.  My Mom has still been creating jewelry, but I haven't been helping much.  I'm pretty old now, and I don't feel that well, so I just sleep a lot.  But my Mom took this picture yesterday that perfectly illustrates my relationship with the little boy that she adopted last year. He's gotten better, but he still is always trying to get us to play with him.  I'd think he'd know by now that we girls don't want to be bothered by a little boy.  **sigh**

Also I thought I'd throw in a picture of one of the most recent things that my mom made.

Cat trivia

Did you know that the majority of orange tabby cats are male?  Or that if a cat is more than two colors it's always a female?  And one of the cruelest twists of all, we can't taste sugary sweet things.  Some sort of defective tastebud thing.
But we do have our fabulous whiskers, which help us to determine the distance between us and things like a wall, so we can tell if we'll fit somewhere.  I just don't bother going into small places and that way I'm sure I won't get stuck.  I just lay on my nice heating pad on the bed.

It's getting colder so we'll be inside more often designing jewelry

It's that time of year when it's chilly outside and it gets dark so early!  Looks like my time outside eating grass is coming to an end.  :<  So I'll be spending more time sleeping and helping my Mom with her jewelry.  She had things spread out all over the bed tonight - there was barely room for me!  (What was she thinking??)
I'm having fun helping her choose pictures to put on chains for necklaces.  She cuts out tiny pictures of animals and sticks them on a square and then puts that on a necklace.  I haven't designed one with myself on it yet, as that will have to be as beautiful as me.  But we did make one with the little boy and one with my partner Scully.  Here is one we made of the little boy.  Since he's a boy I thought it was okay to put it on a more plain necklace.

I'll start working on more so I have some beautiful kitty necklaces to show you soon.  Of course all kitties are beautiful, at least that's what my Mom says.

Hi, I'm writing for Buddy today

My name is Max.  You may have read something that Buddy wrote about me.  I've only been here since July.  I've been trying to make friends with the 4 other cats who live here, but they haven't been very receptive.  I want to play with them, but most of the time they run away from me.  Or they hiss and growl and swat at me.  They're all bigger than me, so I'm a little afraid of them.  I've figured out I'm much faster than them, though!  I guess being little helps me to run faster.  No matter where they run, I'm right behind them.  AND I can squeeze under dressers and they can't, so if they get pissed at me I can hide.
I like it when I get to go outside.  There's so much more to do there.  Lots of bugs to chase, trees to climb, places to explore...  I can spend all day outside.  But I like being inside, too, especially to sleep.  I have a nice cushy pink bed that reminds me of my kitty mom.  It feels like being at her belly and nursing.  I don't know where she is now, so I'm making the best of my new family.  Someday soon I think these other cats will realize how charming I am and then they'll want to play all of the time.  I can't wait!

Here's a sample of one of the necklaces my mom made.  I'm sure there's some good reason it's not a picture of me.  It's that annoying black kitten again.  I guess she needs a more glamourous pendant for ME.

Custom Kitty Pictures

While I was staring out the window this week, I came up with a great idea for my mom.  She can make tiny little pictures to go in small pendants and attach them to necklaces.  Now she can wear a necklace with a picture of me all of the time!  (I'm sure that mine will be her favorite one.)  Aside from the ones created for her, she can make them for other people who have pets.  The only downside I've noticed so far is that she's so focused that she doesn't always notice that I'm ready for more food.
Aside from that, it's getting cooler and some days it's too chilly or rainy to go outside.  I'm a little bored.  I'm sleeping more and spending more time sitting and staring at my mom.  It's a fun game I play.    I sit on the floor and just stare at her.  It freaks her out.  She asks me what I want over and over, and  eventually she just gives me some kind of food.
